Dressing for the Weather - Outdoor Recess Requirements 🧤❄️
Winter weather is here!
When there is inclement weather, students will be allowed into the building at 7:30am. Please refrain from dropping your students off before that time. Refer to the guidelines below to know when we will let students in early. Normal entrance time is 7:35am.
Please help our students remember to come to school with appropriate clothing for outdoor recess. Students go outside unless it is raining, storming, or the temperature drops below 10 degrees or the "real feel" is below 0 degrees.
Please ensure your child has weather-appropriate items like coats, hats, mittens, snow boots and snow pants. While we do have some extra coats and hats available to borrow, these may not always be on hand, so it's best to come prepared.

Conferences
Save the Date: Semester Conferences at Menominee Elementary School
We are thrilled to welcome you to the upcoming Semester Conferences at Menominee Elementary School! Building a strong school-family relationship is important to us, and these conferences provide a wonderful opportunity to discuss your child's progress and work together to support their educational journey.
Conference Dates and Times:
February 11 & 13
3:15 PM to 6:45 PM
Each conference will be 15 minutes long and will be held one-on-one with your child’s teacher.
Save the Date! The conference sign-up link and additional details will be emailed to families on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 22. Please be sure to check your inbox.
Preparing for the Conference: We believe that these meetings are a vital way to collaborate and ensure your child’s success. To make the most of the 15 minutes, please come prepared to share any celebrations, questions, or concerns you may have regarding your child’s experience. This time goes by quickly, and we want to ensure that we address everything that’s important to you.
We’re looking forward to your continued connection and partnership.
Semester 1 Report Cards
The end of the semester is January 17. Student grades will be available in your Parent Portal on January 24. We will also be mailing a copy of the report card home.
Absence Excuses via the IC Parent Portal
The IC Parent Portal has an option to send a notice to our office when your child will be out of school. Scroll all the way down on the home page and click on Absence Requests. As soon as you know of a vacation or appointment, you can send the request and then you don't have to call in the morning. You can go back and look at all of your attendance requests from the Menu under More, Absence Requests. Please note your child's absence will be marked as "Pending" until the actual date of the absence. Please be sure to add a comment with the reason for the absence or list symptoms if your student is ill. Please submit requests before 8:15am for same-day requests.
